Weekend Happenings

April 29, 2017

My friend, Jeanne Petrosky, is a paper artist.  She had asked if I was interested in the origami exhibit at the Allentown Art Museum. It is an outstanding show.  I had read about Erik and Martin DeMaine in American Craft Magazine.  This father and son duo took their love of math and translated it into beautiful paper sculptures.

We also viewed Designing for the

        Loom: Drawings by                              William Geskes

I have a favorite artwork at each museum I frequent.  Allentown Art Museum is no exception!

                                   Game Stall at Market, 1625/37
                                             Oil on canvas
                                      Studio of Frans Snyders
                                        Flemish, 1579-1657
                            Samuel H. Kress Collection, 1961.  (1961.43)

The next day was the Easton Arts Walk.

I demonstrated polymer clay and talked

about the Arts Community of Easton.

I was so happy to have a visit from my wonderful high school art teacher, Pat Delluva!  She was and is inspiring
me to keep going.  She always has a kind word and a

beautiful smile.  She is one of many who have supported

me in my pursuit of art.

I had the pleasure of meeting Judy Moore. She is very creative and works in several mediums. I'm glad she and Pat stopped by to visit at the Gallery at St. John's.

Monday it was off to Dick Blick.  The dragon was ready to come home.  He had a delightful time seeing all those artists in one place.  However, he missed my grandchild so he flew into his bag with the tacos.  Now he is back and ready for new and exciting adventures!

I will be giving a workshop at Dick Blick on decorative boxes.

Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00. Great gift for Mother's Day!

I will be in the Flemington Fine Artisans Show Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29. It will be                               at the Stangl Factory in Flemington, NJ.
